These terms apply when you use the SpeakBid app and this website. By using SpeakBid you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What SpeakBid does
SpeakBid helps contractors make quotes and invoices by voice or typing, send them to clients, collect e-signatures and payments, and schedule jobs. You must be at least 18 and use SpeakBid for your business.
2. Your work and your data
- Your business info, clients, quotes and invoices are yours. Most of it stays on your phone (see the Privacy Policy). Keep backups using the app's export if you need them; if you delete the app or erase your data, it can't be recovered.
- Check every quote before you send it. Voice recognition and smart line items can make mistakes. You are responsible for your prices, taxes, licenses, permits, warranties and the work you agree to do.
- Only add client information you're allowed to use, and only send messages your clients expect.
3. Online links and e-signatures
When you send a document as a link, a copy is stored on our server until you delete it. E-signatures made with SpeakBid are intended to satisfy the U.S. E-SIGN Act and UETA, but laws differ by place and type of contract. SpeakBid is not a law firm and this is not legal advice.
4. Payments from your clients
Card and bank payments go through Stripe under your own Stripe account and Stripe's terms. You are the seller. Refunds, disputes and chargebacks are between you, your client and Stripe. Payment handles you show (Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal) are handled outside SpeakBid.
5. Free plan and SpeakBid Pro
- The free plan includes a limited number of documents. SpeakBid Pro unlocks more features.
- Pro is a subscription billed by Google Play or the App Store at the price shown in the store for your country. It renews automatically until you cancel in your store account settings.
- A free trial, when offered, converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
- Refunds follow Google Play's or Apple's refund policies.
6. Invite program
If you invite another contractor, you can earn free Pro time under the invite program rules shown in the app (Settings › Invite a contractor). In short: your friend gets 1 month of Pro free after they send their first real quote or invoice, and you get 1 month after their first paid subscription payment goes 7 days without a refund, up to 3 months in any 12 months. Rewards are in-app Pro time only, have no cash value, are never given for ratings or reviews, and are forfeited for abuse. We may change or end the program at any time; rewards already granted are kept.
7. Fair use
Don't use SpeakBid to break the law, send spam, mislead clients, upload harmful content, or try to break, overload or copy the service. We may suspend links or accounts that do.
8. The service "as is"
We work hard to keep SpeakBid running, but it's provided "as is" without warranties. Features can change, and online parts (links, payments, alerts, cloud voice) may sometimes be unavailable.
9. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, SpeakBid is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for SpeakBid in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending
You can stop using SpeakBid at any time and erase your data in Settings › Erase all data. Cancel a Pro subscription in your Google Play or App Store account.
11. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above. If a change is important, we'll tell you in the app. Questions? Use our support page. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
